The importance of believing in yourself that you can truly achieve that which you desire, is the foundation where someone must start in order to have success or change their life.

Many of us often have hopes, dreams and goals that we would like to become a reality. But if we do not really BELIEVE that we can achieve them - they merely are a wish or just a dream.

Earl Nightingale said 3 words in The Strangest Secret that have stuck with me every day of my life since the first time I heard that recording "Believe and Succeed"!

Somehow that sounds so simple to many, but most find difficulty in changing their lives or circumstances, because they flat out do not believe in their own capabilities.

Each and everyone one of us has a unique God given talent that no one else has.

However in our competitive society, conforming to the 'normal' is the status quo. The dreams and ambitions we had when we were young fade away. We stop believing in ourselves and start 'fitting in' to what society and our surroundings dictate to us.

Instead of worrying about what 'they think' (society, friends, neighbors, co-workers) ones focus should be on ' what you think'!

Every day is filled with an abundance of opportunities, however our paradigm has been shaped to conform to what society dictates. Many often lead a life that is a mere shell - housing an incredible gift or talent, but never revealed because of what 'they may think'.

I repeat those same 3 words from 'The Strangest Secret' daily, yes daily... to remind myself that everything that I am doing is for a greater purpose. If you have family or friends that truly support you in 'going after' your dreams, that is a definite plus... but for most they do not, so it comes down to having confidence and belief in yourself that you CAN and WILL achieve what it is you desire!

When you believe in yourself - go after it 100% - don't wait for the right time, or a specific circumstance to occur. When you do that, your dream and desire become just a wish, and again your life will not change and you will remain where you are.
